Elon Musk  has just revealed his long-awaited Tesla Cybertruck, a radical all-electric, stainless-steel-bodied. If you missed the brief event earlier tonight, don't worry -- you can watch the wild debut right here, right now, by clicking on the YouTube embed below.

Despite Musk's outgoing character on social media, details surrounding the Tesla pickup truck had been pretty few and far between before today, but now, the floodgates are open and the promised performance figures are almost beyond belief.

Rumors pointed to a wild design for the Cybertruck, and clearly they were right. Heck, the name itself hinted at something fairly futuristic, even if the term "cyber" has largely fallen out of today's vernacular. Even so, we still didn't expect this knife-edged, triangular-shaped design, let alone this truck's alleged bulletproof construction.

Musk has been eager to build a pickup truck for years now. The idea first became public in 2017, and the Tesla boss estimated we'd see the electric pickup in 2019. As it turns out, he was right on the money, but even now that we've seen the truck, we still don't know how soon it'll be in production, let alone how quickly reservation holders can expect to receive a truck.

Following the Cybertruck's reveal, Tesla has opened the vehicle for reservations, much like it did following the new Roadster's surprise debut
