Snap to it, Spectacles are sold online
Want to snap up a pair of spectacles, you can now buy them from the comfort of your home.
Starting Monday the 20th of February the sunglasses with the video camera designed for snapchap will be sold on specticles.com.
They'll cost $129 and come and choral teal and black.
It's household in the US can buy up to 6 pairs.
Before now, Spectacles haven't exactly been easy to get.
Released in 2016, they were sold through special vending machines called [UNKNOWN].
There was also a pop up store in New York City that's now closed.
Buyers often waited hours to get their hands on a pair with [UNKNOWN] and the store regularly selling out.
The shift in sales strategy comes at an important time for Snap, the parent company of Snapchat.
After filing for initial public offering, or IPO, Snap is preparing to sell shares between $14 and $16 each when it debuts on the New York Stock Exchange.
Now, that would give Snap a valuation up to US$22.2 billion.
In the filing for IPO, the company said, spectacles don't generate significant revenue.
Now, they're easiest to get may be that will change.
One of the items listed in the filing was how confusing the Snapchat app can be To help prospective users and investors get a handle on the app, Snap made a video explaining how it all works.
