Niantic

Niantic's latest update to the summer's greatest hit, Pokemon Go, adds a feature that could be good for gym battles: free Pokemon appraisals.

It's hard to figure out which Pokemon is best at doing certain things. Actually, I never even battle in Pokemon Go. I just collect more Pokemon. But the new feature in version 0.35.0 for Android and 1.5.0 for iOS lets you see more detailed stats, delivered by your Team Leader. Hopefully this will help you understand what to do with the hundreds of Pokemon you've already collected.

My version hasn't gotten the update yet, but expect it to roll out Tuesday. In the meantime, read Gamespot's report.
