'Wonder Woman' gets a badass official trailer

Finally! Women are kicking ass and taking names in the first full-length trailer for the 2017 DC film.

Caitlin Petrakovitz Director of audience
Caitlin Petrakovitz studies the Marvel Cinematic Universe like it's a course in school, with an emphasis on the Infinity Saga years. As an audience expert, she rarely writes but when she does it's most certainly about Star Trek, Marvel, DC, Westworld, San Diego Comic-Con and great streaming properties. Or soccer, that's a thing she loves, too.

"What I do is not up to you." The first full-length trailer for "Wonder Woman" is here and it's glorious.

With a lighter palette than "Batman v Superman" and some seriously badass moves from the titular character (played by Gal Gadot once again), "WW" already looks better than we could've hoped. (Of course, a lot of us felt that way last year after we saw the first "Suicide Squad" trailer, and look how that's turned out.)

The trailer leans extensively on the relationship between Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor (Chris Pine of "Star Trek Beyond"). And it seems that director Patty Jenkins is making liberal use of slow-motion captures to accentuate the gracefulness of our Amazonian women in battle.

"Wonder Woman" is due in theaters June 2, 2017. The film will be one of the first female-fronted comic book flicks -- Marvel, you've got some catching up to do.
