"This Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. set would let buyers create their own inspired missions of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division," Savath_Bunny posted on the Lego Ideas page. "By featuring a more interactive line of stealthy jets and flying cars (like Lola, the red corvette), Lego lovers would not only be able to expand their Lego Spy and Lego City sets but collectors would be able to own classic machine models not yet developed."
The proposed Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. set features six minifigures: hacker Skye, Agent Phil Coulson, Agent Melinda May, Agent Grant Ward, Agent Leo Fitz, and Agent Jemma Simmons.
Three transportation vehicles are also in the set -- the black S.H.I.E.L.D. jet dubbed "The W.A.S.P.P." (Winged Aircraft Surveillance Protector and Peacekeeper), Fitz-Simmons' S.H.I.E.L.D. surveillance van, and Agent Coulson's beloved red corvette Lola.
Additional items proposed for the set are Fitz's seven Dwarf Scanner drones, two beakers for Simmons, a S.H.I.E.L.D badge, three guns, a cell phone, a laptop for Skye, and two Captain America trading cards.
The set needs 10,000 votes by supporters to move to the next phase where Lego will review the set to possibly be made into a real set for purchase. As of Wednesday morning, it had over 1,900 votes.
"Keeping the world safe from paranormal crime is no easy job, but S.H.I.E.L.D has it covered!" Lego wrote in the official comments. "With this project, now the Lego world can be protected as well, with a full team of S.H.I.E.L.D Agents. Good luck as you fight your way toward 10,000 supporters!"
Even actor Ming-Na Wen -- who plays Agent May -- approves of the Lego set.
"Let's do this!" Wen tweeted. "Please support Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Lego set. It only needs 10,000!" In fact, as of now it only needs about 8,000.
