Ever wonder what the entire "Star Wars" saga looks like through the eyes of C-3PO and R2-D2? Fans will get a droid's perspective on everything from the Anakin Skywalker transition to Darth Vader to Luke training with Yoda. A Lego droid's perspective that is.

Disney XD has picked up "Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales," an animated take on the six "Star Wars" movies, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which reports that the limited series entails five 22-minute episodes that will air later this year.

The "Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales" series will be set after the Ewok celebration at the end of "Return of the Jedi." The famous droid duo, R2-D2 and C-3PO, retell their adventures starting with "The Phantom Menace" all the way to "Return of the Jedi."

"An accidental kidnapping occurs while the droids are reminiscing and suddenly viewers are taken on a new adventure that leads to encounters with familiar faces and places that prompt the retelling of the entire saga," according to Disney.

It's yet to be seen whether "Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales" will also take a few cues from the '80s cartoon "Star Wars: Droids: The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO," but here's hoping the theme song will be just as catchy.

While casting, writing staff and director have yet to officially be announced, "Lego Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles" and "Lego Star Wars: The Padawan Menace" writer Michael Price tweeted, "Now it can be re-told! Very excited about this."

Disney XD will announce air date information soon, but the series reportedly will premiere before "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" hits theaters on December 18.
